    Rehoming hens (Maryland)

Hi LInda, Sorry for the delay we were away until today. Can you send me a picture of your coop/porch? Sorry if I'm being intrusive, I just want to be sure they'll be happy in their new home. Their pretty spoiled girls here and are used to space and time for free ranging in a big yard. Thanks!

    Rehoming hens (Maryland)

@Rafters Thanks for your interest. Can you tell me what their "housing" would be? Do you have any birds now? We want to be sure they would be going to a good home. They are really terrific girls, very friendly, love to be with people.

Do Pinless Peepers work for egg eating?

Made rollaway boxes. They will not lay in them! Keep laying outside of them and then eating the eggs. *I just ordered ceramic eggs. *Will try to make the nesting boxes more "inviting" Getting worried though that we won't be able to solve this. :(

Egg Eating/Won't use roll away boxes

@aart The birds turned one year in April. They have been laying since last fall. The egg eating started while I was away (approx. 3 weeks) and has been going on for about 6 weeks. It was an unplanned absence (sick child in the hospital) and I hadn't made arrangements for someone to collect...

Egg Eating/Won't use roll away boxes

Recently I was stuck at the hospital with a child for an extended amount of time. During that time the chicken eggs were not being collected in a timely manner and my chickens began eating their eggs. It was a DISGUSTING mess. I'm not sure which one is the culprit of breaking them (it may...
