    Golf balls work.Very first day it worked. I going to keep them in there for now.with golf balls no worries.no old eggs,no broken eggs,no way they will eat a golf ball. FOUR.....lol maybe if I put in a softball the eggs will be bigger.

    Granny good morning,let's see it was 17 1/2 weeks. The day I found the eggs,in the morning I noticed squatting behavior. Later in the day by 1 BAM EGGS.How old are your girls?

    So I'm to understand if you put golf balls in the nesting box it will teach them where to lay? Thanks My girls just started to lay last week. Any other ways ??

    I would think so. The day of my first eggs I noticed squatting.that same day I had eggs.

    Oh wow the girls did it! 17 week old Australorps the eggs are small,very hard shells/ great color taste. I'm so happy for my girls. The morning nothing noon nodda,1 p.m. BAMM EGGS THREE BIRDS THREE EGGS!! I wonder how long it will be before they get bigger??Good luck everyone it won't be long...

    Good morning,my girls laid eggs!!!!! The very first ones. I looked in the morning,nothing,again at noon,nodda.at 100 pm EGGS! Wow!! Three birds.three eggs. They are small.great color,hard shells. They were great.17 weeks

    I'm new to this. It is something I've wanted to do for sometime. I moved into a farm house last March and thought now is my chance! Fresh eggs taste great!Why not? So I been learning as much as I can to give the girls the best care possible.Fresh water,crumble,oyster shells,grit,grass,oh yah...
