Lol she's just talking a lot. But she doesn't honk yet. It sounds like whistles to me.
Her poop honestly looks fine. I'm really leaning toward vitamin deficiency cause I noticed she ate the scratch I gave her but not the feed. (Fed separately.)
Feed is Dumor All Flock, free range as well.
Poop is normal. Sometimes solid,.sometimes a little more watery. No signs of parasites so far as I can tell.
Because she free ranges it's hard to tell if she picked up anything random, but it's possible.
No gurgling. But she does keep dropping water...
I found my Goose standing oddly in one of the houses. Thought maybe overheated. But she is lighter than her counterpart, has droopy wings, and her eyes are fluttering oddly. Every so often she reaches out her neck like she needs air, but then is fine.
This is my first time having geese so I'm a...
I wound up removing them. Barely any blood. Scabbed over fine. Put her back out this morning and she's off. Lol. So unfortunately, no I can't get pictures of that.
I correctly figured out the others. This one has me confused. The other cockerels already started crowing. And this one has a large comb but it's not nearly as bright red as the boys. Thoughts?
Unsure. But she has had issues with soft shelled eggs in the past. I have her isolated so I'll keep an eye on her. Hopefully she lays tomorrow and if it was part of a soft egg it expels.
Was out with the flock and saw my nearly year old hen with this gooey substance hanging out of her vent. Pretty sure it's not a worm.
She's moving around. Eating and drinking fine. Laying regularly.
Vent gleet or something else? Recommended treatment for gleet if that's what it is?
TIA
I don't ferment. I just mix one bag in with one bag of All Flock. I feed two scoops in the morning, then they all free range for the day. They get left over scraps from the day before. Then, they get a scoop of scratch and some grubs as a snack in the evening.
Ugh predators are another matter...
Hey Y'all! Hope you're having a great Monday.
I'm curious about Kalmbach Henhouse Reserve. I have a mixed flock of Hens, Roosters, and Ducks. I do an All Flock and was mixing in Henhouse Reserve. I also offer free choice oyster shell and grit on the side.
However, I paused this last...
