    eating enough ???

    Are they free ranging at all or do they have acess to lots of bugs and weeds in their run if so then they won't eat as much feed if they are doing this.

    wow I thought my chicks were eating alot! I am filling their small feeder twice a day plus their snacks. Hope this is okay I belive I read that chicks won't overeat their not like puppies.

    I am on day 4 with silkies this is my second round of ebay eggs only got 1 out of last hatch. I use a borrowed hovabator without and egg turner wish I had one!! Does anybody have any problems with their havabator just wondering what kind I should buy

    I have a question on this subject please. If you leave the chicks with the mom how do they get to water our waterers are suspended high do they need their own little water container and the same for food?

I know it's extreme but I have experience with this my neighbor would call the sheriff every time I let my guineas out to free range they hated them but anyways there is a ticket for animaks at large...

    Tennessee?

    So does anybody close to my area raise silkies? I incubated 6 eggs for the first time and only got 1 chick. I have ordered more eggs from ebay but who knows how that will turn out. I just want to make sure my chick has some friends she is 2 weeks old now.

    Thanks all for your help I took a warm washcloth and held that to her bottom for a while and then just started picking and pulling a little bit of course she screamed but I got it off! Her bottom is awful red though. So can anyone tell me what causes this or how to prevent this in the future and...

    they are on a starter feed and they eat bugs at night because there brooder is outside they havent taken any sort of treats yet
