    I had one getting mean hit him in the head with a tobacco stick and he's straightened up. You might just need to knock the crap out of him make him think you're going to kill him. Worked on mine. Good luck.

    Unless your birds have a heavy worm load and are exhibiting symptoms of illness, you do not have to worm your chickens. Healthy adult chickens rarely suffer from a worm overload.     I guess i shouldve said ive only had one hen die from worms. Got her from another farm. None of my current chickens show symptoms of worms... But i worm them 2-3 times a year w natural wormer for chickens. Their poop is fine. No infestations in butchered birds... Misnomer to assume...

    ... Idk from what ive read their livers and kidneys are sensitive to meds. But it may be different for someone who doesn't free range.

    Its not good for the chickens either... They dont process poison like a dog. Should only be used when absolutely necessary.

    I also butcher a few on the regular and examine them for various things. No worms. Livers look good too.

    I give mine natural worming herbs/nuts... But if i saw one in the poop i would give them harsher meds. But mine free range. They worm themselves.

    Chickens are weak in terms of filtering toxins, so 'preventative' is not good. Unless you see worms in the poop, don't worm.
