I live in Texas so the Mexican way of cooking is quite big here. Goats are VERY GOOD! That being said, you can't just cook them like a fat cow or something and expect any good results. The meat can be quite tough if not cooked low and slow. BBQ'd goat is super but you can expect to low...

WOW! a hundred that quick! Your the man!
I've only had them fried but I bet wrapped in bacon with a little jalapeno and sprinkled with Tony's would be great on the grill!
I read this thread because I've never had anything but legs so I was going to see if there was a use for the rest.
I had a RIR roo that was probably around 10 months that became mean to the kids as well as some new additions to the flock.
He became my experiment. Although I had cleaned many wild turkeys, quail and other wild game, I had never cleaned a chicken. My wife's best friend's dad butchers...

Looks and sounds like exactly what I'm doing only instead of an expensive dog crate, I bought a $9 kiddie wading pool, drilled some holes in it to zip tie 2' tall pieces of 1x2's to and then strung 1" chicken wire around it (2' high). I'm going to take a piece of 1/8"x1" flat bar that...

I originally posted the sulfur thought and was immediately told it was a crazy stupid idea so I wasn't even about to post again that it truly is ok. Thanks.
It's not like pure sulfur you buy from a chemical co. like skylighter or firefox. It's a much less pure garden use variety...
go to Lowes or home depot or the like and get a 1 1/2" closet rod (wood dowel). They are relatively cheap and work great. My chickens roost on one every night.

Yep, my 2 RIR's had no odor the first few weeks but by the time they were 6-8 weeks, they started smelling like.... well... like... chickens, or barnyard animals I guess. Mine were in a small (29 gal I think) aquarium in the living room. I changed the bedding completely every evening...
I got my RIR's at 3 days old during spring break. My 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son were home for the week from school and played with the chicks CONSTANTLY! We started calling my daughter the "chicken whisperer" because she could lay one of them on their side cupped in her hand and...
