Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

Hi everybody, thank you all so much for your advice. Unfortunately, she just passed away. All of the other ducks seem fine and I put Daisy back in with them. I wish I could have given you a happy update. Here are a few pictures of her from the previous year (she was about 9 months old)

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

My dad wants to wait and see how she does before taking her to the vet. I noticed her like this when I got home yesterday at about 2pm, and at about 10am that morning she was said to be fine. I really don't know what she could have gotten into that would give her botulism, but I think she does...

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

I I don’t think that her crop feels full, and I don’t know how long she’s been doing this because I haven’t been home. Just as I was typing this she threw up again - it was very mucusy and slimey and slightly brown/green. My mom says that she seemed fine yesterday morning. I really want to...

    Duck throwing up green stuff

Hi, apologies for another post but I just wanted another thread about her throwing up. My duck Daffy is very lethargic and when I checked on her just now she had green stains on her chest and some weird stuff that she had thrown up (I assume, I didn’t see it happen). She’s still not eating or...

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

I came back and checked on them and I think Daffy’s been throwing up - she has some greenish stains on her chest ahd it might explain her lack of appetite. I also found these weird things on her chest and by her..I don’t know what they are.

Here they are right now, it’s quite a mess so I plan to clean it before I go back to my dorm

Blue Seal Grow and Show pellets. I’ve mixed in some peas, mealworms, and hard boiled egg yolk to make it more appetizing for her but she’s still not interested. I’m going to leave them alone for about an hour then come check back

Ok, that’s good at least! So just resting and waiting would be good?

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

Thanks for responding! I've got her sister Daisy up with her. She was mostly eating small pieces of lettuce (one of her fav foods), so that might be why it's green. Thankfully there's no hot spots that I can feel. I've got her up in the "recovery room" (a bathroom that we never use except for...

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

Thanks for the link! I just checked her feet/legs again, and didn't notice anything off (nothing significantly swollen, not hot or responding poorly), and she's not limping anymore when she stands up. But she just seems really weak, and I saw that the niacin deficiency symptoms can include...

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

I’m trying to get her to drink more water, but she refuses to drink any. She’s not eating her favorite snacks either when I offer them. I’m going to try to get some yeast and maybe syringe feed it to her (mixed with water)

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

My parents are both at home, but they are usually really busy and I’m not sure if they’ll be able to give her a lot of attention. Her right ankle (I think, it’s right where the foot meets the leg) seems a bit swollen and she didn’t like me touching it. If it is an infection, would going to the...

Duck acting lethargic and hardly eating

Hello! I have a magpie duck named Daffy, and she is currently acting very lethargic. Little bit of background - I live in Maine, and it's been very cold (-11 to 20 degrees F) recently. I live in a college dorm, but come home to visit on the weekends - so yesterday when I got home, I went to...
