My pullet got her head stuck in the door - hoping she will be able to walk again soon!

So Shade was getting depressed - not eating as well - maybe having some leg spasms as her injury heals - massaging and spending more time with her on my person wasn't working. So brought in a buddy she likes - Nori. Made a HUGE difference - Shade is eating and perked up. Her legs are spastic -...

My pullet got her head stuck in the door - hoping she will be able to walk again soon!

LOL I worded that weird - I don't want her gaining weight without using her legs - so when she recovers her balance she'll be strong enough to get up and walk - just to clarify. I've started putting her on a blanket so she can preen and use her wings more - she's still a bit off balanced but not...

Thanks jwehl - yes she is eating drinking and pooping normally. I made the chicken sling so she wouldn't recover and have more weight on weak legs - I am hoping she exercises her muscles so they don't atrophy while she is recovering - fingers crossed.

My pullet got her head stuck in the door - hoping she will be able to walk again soon!

My lavender hen who is pretty special - one of two hens who have to be picked up and loved on - got her head stuck in the door somehow. I've installed an inner wire door now so this can't happen in the future. She was wobbly but walking, so I gave her some nutri-drench and vitamin b along with a...

I go out of my way to pick up Dancing Goat coffee when I head towards Seattle. LOVE their coffee varieties.

Highlight light brown color on white bresse?

Indeed - I just bought enough to keep the very best and freezer camp the rest. :)

Highlight light brown color on white bresse?

Ha right? If you look at the breed standards, both would be flaws. But I love my chickens just the way they are. One of my lavenders is getting black feathers on her back. *Shakes head* lol - she is one of my favorites so she could grow horns and I'd still be like "You do you sister." LOL

Highlight light brown color on white bresse?

The colors definitely change - fun isn't it? I have older all white Bresse, and these new babies that are 8 weeks and 3 weeks old. :)

Thanks for the great advice over the years ... decided to register today. :)

    1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I've taken in rescue chickens for ten years or so. About 5 years ago I bought three white Bresse hens who needed to be rehomed, and fell in love with their attitudes. They were a bit older, and I have one of the three still with me. I...

I have whites, blacks, and lavenders and I cull for yellow/brown in my whites. If he is getting color in his tail as well maybe he is a lavender? They can look light tan.
