    Do you put food in their coop before bedtime? Our runner ducks have an expectation to find food in their coop when we call "All ducks go to bed". It's a stampede, fun to watch every time. If I am late, they go inside their coop or wait and quack outside their coop.

    Candling the eggs in the incubator became a more regular activity when a foul rotten egg smell emerged from the incubator. Yes one can do it with their nose alone, but why wait until bacteria have more than begun to decompose an egg.

    Should I butcher or keep my drakes?

    I assume that different breeds could behave differently, such as the drakes being more aggressive, we have four runner duck drakes and seven runner hens, nine until a few weeks ago, that ratio seems to work. Would be interesting to hear others perspective.
