We live where it's dry and warm (sometimes well into the 100s) in the summer, though often cooling as much as 40 or 50 degrees at night. Cold (sometimes freezing, but rarely snow) in the winter with -- we hope -- enough rain to spark the wildflowers and green-turn-to-gold grasses.
