    she’s been just fine it seems! she laid an egg with no shell and then a very soft squishy egg but has since not laid anything. she eats, drinks, and runs over for treats at snack time so i’m just thrilled.

    i’ll be sure to pay extra close attention to my flock now as i have another 5 year old brown and a buff orp who is 3-4. looks like i got my young stock at just the right time as my older girls days are likely more numbered than i originally thought. thank you for the reassurance about the treats.

    thank you for that tip. my biggest thought behind feeding treats, especially the veggies, was that they needed extra beyond the complete feed. i was, unfortunately, thinking about feeding them in the same way i’d feed my horses.
