We have an Ameraucana rooster that is suddenly unable to stand up. He "walks" around on his legs but cannot stand. Inspection does not show any injuries; he eats and drinks water; seems normal except for an inability to stand. Anyone know what may be the cause?
We are new to Bantams and are really surprised by the length of the nails on their toes compared to our full-size birds. Some of them are so long that they are starting to curl sideways. Is this normal? Does anyone clip the nails?
