    thank you--I do have mostly light brown eggs and I have figured out the two that lay white eggs, but can't seem to pinpoint the one who lays such a large egg I can;t close the carton--you would think it was a huge hen but none of them are particularly bigger than the others

    I bought a variety pack of 25 straight run chicks last spring so I could determine which breeds I liked the best. The trouble is I have no idea which hen laid which egg and have no idea how to track how many each hen is laying. So how can I choose the BEST hens as I plan to reduce to about 12.
