    I feed my chickens a balanced diet of organic medicated layer feed and oyster shell. I only gave my injured girl some shre veggies because I brought her inside to a dark area with water and stopped her regular food to keep her from laying. When she is healed, I will resume her regular diet.

    THANK YOU. I do not want to cull her. She started laying eggs young and has done fine with small eggs. This time the egg she was trying to lay was large (poor baby). He is in good health otherwise. She is 22 weeks old and has been laying since 18 weeks.
