This little chick hatched about two weeks ago. I thought she might have had splay leg and attempting to wrap her legs but it has done nothing. It looks like it hurts. 😩

Thank goodness! I was so worried! I think I’ll move one out to the barn until I figure things out. We had hoped for only one Tom but after two started gobbling we knew it would be tricky. I’m hoping to be able to keep them both😩.

They are in a shed that leads to a 6 x 10 run. It’s only temporary until we finish the other enclosure but we got behind with other projects. I would love to free-range them but they jumped the fences before and I’m afraid of them getting close to the highway.

This morning I noticed these back marking on my on my Tom’s heads. Is this blackhead or were they fighting? I see no blood and they are acting normal Thanks so much!

I noticed this pullet walking strange tonight. Any idea what’s wrong with her? I don’t see how she could have gotten injured they are in a separate coop and not with the main flock.

This isn’t the best picture but the black one is laying the darker brown speckled egg. I have not noticed which one the other lays yet.

A friend of mine gave me chickens that are laying (since mine are all pullets) I’m not sure what she told me the correct breeds for these two. Thank you!

Ugh! I’m happy to have EE’s but was really hoping for a mix in my flock. Nineteen EE’s are a little much! Funny the mix set doesn’t mention EEs but it looks like that’s what they sent me. They were supposed to be a mix of Marans, Amercauna, OEs and some other mixes I’m not too familiar with.

I bought two sets from tractor supply. One was an Easter Egger hen set the second was supposed to be a colored egger mix. It looks to me like I have mostly Easter eggers. Do you think the crested ones are olive eggers or cream legbars? Do you see any other breeds in here? Thanks for your input!

Awesome thank you! I’ve purchased pullets of other breeds and were told they were hens but later found out they were Roos. So I’m nervous.

I bought these French Copper Marans from a farm near me. I was told they are both hens but after introducing them to the flock the one seemed protective of the other. What do you think? Are these both hens?
