    These chicks are 7 weeks old and mama will not let them go I still catch her with a couple of them under her once in awhile. I had 2 other broodies who left their babies 2 weeks ago but Delilah refuses.

    The only hen I have ever had to get egg bound was a golden sexlink who ended up with egg yolk peritonitis and had to be culled, my vet said they are the ones he sees with egg issues the most.

    This is my first time brooding ducklings and to lose on is just awful. I brood chicks every year and lose 1 or 2 but always in the first few days. To have a baby for 3 weeks and lose it that's tough.
