    Our first egg from Buff Orpington 22 weeks old. Now I am waiting on her other sisters to start laying. One egg a day doesn't last long with 8 people in the house.

    I am sorry to hear about your loss. We had our neighbors dog come over here and kill 13 off of 8 week old BO. It was the sadest sight to see. I am glad you were able to save one and hopefully your newly ordered chicks will do fine in Chicken Fort Knox.

    My Rooster Crowed!

    How exciting!! I heard our 13 week old roo Carlisle crow yesterday and I was so excited I called my husband at work to tell him the roo is crowing.
