    2 of 4 chickens laying, when to introduce oster shell and layer feed?

    So two of my hens are now laying out of the 4 (they are all the same age) and I'm not sure when I should change their feed to layer and when to introduce oyster shell. I have read horror stories of people doing it too early. I'm new at this and need guidance. Thanks

    I raised my coop/ run on pressure treated 2x4s, put gravel all around it to act as a channel and raised the inside of the coop with sand. I also covered it with tarps (so I know rain isn't blowing in) but the sand is soaked all around the perimeter. Someone help me understand where I went wrong?
