Redneckchick, bet you have a nice set up for all those chicks. I'm going to work on a new chicken house this weekend because pretty soon I have to try to get my four 8 week old pullets in with my 3 adult hens. feedstore chicks?
My white leghorn is the same way. I got her when she was four months old and have had her a couple months. She is just now getting where she will take food out of my hand but it is the "run up, grab it quick, and get out of there" method. I don't know if I will ever be able to hold her but...- Gabby-Pita

Cold weather
2 Buff Orphingtons and 2 RIRs. All pullets (I hope). I'm going to the local feed store today to get more feed and hope I don't come home with more. I love the Buffs. They are so friendly. I live in North MS. The temperature is supposed to drop as low as 28-30 degrees in the next few nights here. My baby chickens are 7 weeks old now (RIRs and Buff Orps).
