    I have a sapphire gem and smokey pearl pullet, both hatched 3/5/23. It is now exactly 3 months later, and both have deep red combs and waddles and are already starting to squat when approached. It seems a bit early, but these are sure-fire signs of coming into lay. Wouldn't it be way too early...

    Gallimycin Egg Withdrawal Period? Conflicting Information

    Conflicting information! The vet I spoke with said 21-60 days. Another vet says no need for egg withdrawal. One website says do NOT use with eggs for human consumption. Another says zero day withdrawal period.

    She's still with us. Down to 2.2 lb. Moving slowly. I wanted to give her some time outside before she passed.

    I brought her outside to free range again. She eats grass and perks right up! But she still won't eat eggs, treats, meal worms, or Layer Crumbles. She perks up so much-needed though when she's out here. Like she has something worth fighting for. She can also view her flock mates, and I swear...

    Right now I'm watching the sick hen do a little free-ranging on her own outside. She's got more pep in her step, and she's eating grass and bugs. In the house she lays around, and doesn't move. This seems to be the medicine she needs right now. I will bring her back into the house once she tires...

    I used permethrin for the lice/mites. She laid daily until recently. I have been giving her water in a syringe with electrolytes. She has pecked around a bit, but isn't interested in eating her favorites like eggs and meal worms.

    Active, probably a 3. I can easily pick her up, but my chickens are pretty docile. Her abdomen is quite bony.
