    Devastated... Lost 7 of 13 chicks last night.

    ugh. absolutely heart wrenching.I would not have any more until you can establish a proper and safe coop. you will enjoy peace of mind because the dog will be looking forward to more chicken dinners.

    Northern Fowl Mite Disgust

    I feel for you. I deep clean once a week and spray apple cider vinegar EVERYWHERE!! i even make aure it hits the chickens!! tey dont mind much but I really think it helps.i have also heard that guinea fowls will actually eat this mites..

I've looked for holes in the coop fencing, havne'tfigured how a mouse would get in, but if it can, (cause you know how sneaky they can be) Will there be any evidence?     Just lost most of my flock...

    Thats Something got into my run and killed three of my four birds. I know what the problem was and I've fixed it, but now I have a lonely chicken.  Its sad, and crushing, after all the months and dollars and time spent taking care of them,  and piling on top of that is snarky remarks in reply...
