    Thank you! I appreciate getting advice from folks more experienced with certain breeds. I'll have to consider building a dedicated pen closer to the house that I can close off from the weather extremes. I don't like the sound of my flock turning into frozen chicken nuggets!

    Salem here. Gotta love the fluffy butts. Anyone in the state regularly breeding and selling chicks? I'm always looking for chicks and love supporting my local farms! Trying to start my kids in 4H soon and would like to start an additional flock of rare/ unusual chickens.

    I've been considering this combination! I was hoping the cross would make SUPER broodies. I'm particularly interested in the smooth feathered ones you have photos of. Once I build another pen I'll be ordering some eggs! Any chance you sell chicks too? And are turken eggs the same cost?
