    So is this unusual? One of my hens dropped this rather odd, shaped egg and I am curious as to what might have caused this.

    Would it be possible to keep my 3 females with one male then retain the other two males for some future females. I'm really interested in raising and hatching more Quail and hope to retain a good clean bloodline for future babies and eggs for meat/eggs for myself.

    Hello! I am in the Scott county area in Oneida TN about an hour north of Knoxville. I keep Orpingtons I have about 25-26 at last count for eggs and meat.
