I visit my Chickens 4 to 5 times a day, to open the coops, check for eggs, give Scratch Grains, let them out to Free range an hour before sunset (weather permitting), and close coops and pens after sunset.

Medicated Chick Starter around here has Amprolium as the active ingredient.
I fed my laying hens the Medicated Start & Grow (after their Non-Medicated feed ran out) when I got day old Chicks.
It's safe to eat the eggs from Pullets/Hens fed a Medicated feed with Amprolium. I did!

But I will give you my opinion. The Home Grown is the Bargain brand from Purina, like Country Feeds is to Nutrena.
I won't buy either because they don't contain Pre and Probiotics.
My first Flock was 5 Golden Comets.
I raised them on 18% Start & Grow feed till they started to lay at 16.5 weeks. I then switched to a 18% layer feed by mixing with the Starter feed over 2 weeks.
