    I purchased Veterycin eye ointment, which we started using on Monday. Although she mostly keeps the eye closed, she will now open it at times and is definitely acting like herself again. The eye looks a bit hazy but is not infected and we think she can still see out of it

    Update: Thanks for all of the advice. Mozzarella is officially back with her flock. We let her free range with them a little more every day and she perked up. We still had her sleep in the house until her wound was completely healed, but she is now back to sleeping in the coop.
