What to feed a baby turkey?

How does one transition from the high protein to "something" else? I remember we always just fed our turkeys what the chickens ate. I have four midget whites now and they are about 2 months old - still feeding them the expensive high protein game bird. What to do?

    Two roosters

Just as I thought - because I've probably read this same post before. Two weeks stuck in my mind though and had some hope for that time limit. So, to be "fer sure", I will wait four weeks before incubating any of the eggs from this trio. I do thank you for this great reply and appreciate your...

Comment by 'Gercarson' in item 'Old English Game Bantam'

The Old English Game Bantam is the epitome of what a "banty" should be and look like. They come in every feather color pattern known to chickens. They are a beautiful little chicken and can be as tame or as wild as they are raised - no matter, they WILL be fiesty and colorful in their habits and...

    Drowning, choking . . . ?

The do seem to weaken slowly, they start to look tired and like to rest a lot. Not sure about the squirts - how long or how often, since they DO eat, but don't notice how much.

    Drowning, choking . . . ?

I thought I took very good care of my little flock - but within the last two weeks three of my beautiful Wyandottes have died. They seem to be choking (mildly) and then drowning in their own throat liquid. They do not defecate, they squirt. Please, someone tell me how to stop this . . . right away!

I thought EE's were Americaunas. What is the difference?

    What Breed is this?

I have a game hen that looks just like that. If the hen were standing and we could see her stature, it would make a "guess" easier.
