I have 22 hens and only 7 are laying. The weather has alot ot do with it
and molting also. I wouldnt kill chickens because they are not laying every
day. Thats not how it works. I ordered 2 batches of girls..one batch in early
early spring and then another batch in early summer...when one...
I refuse to get any flu shots..so many people get sick when they do. That
just doesnt seem right to me to go get a shot that makes you sick. I hope
you feel better soon.
We did everything we can for our chickens first winter. My husband insulated
the coop and nailed up boards around the bottom of the coop so wind cant
blow under the coop...he also put some plywood up to block the wind from
cutting through their run...only a 3rd of it is protected from snow and...
I had the shampoo and bath water ready before i went to get my
white rock chicken. I just kept talking to her real softly and everything
i did was very slowly. It was amaziing how well she did...i have bathes others as well.
YEP...very soon now. My EE's were my first layers...16 weeks old.
That was in the summer though. Some of my new girls should have
layed by now but havent due to the cold...so hopefull she will lay soon
for you.
I think it would be okay to leave them out for an hour and then put them
in the frig. My girls are on their roost by 5:30 so I go out and gather the
last eggs then and lock them in for safety and warmth.
My girls are still holding their weight..maybe they need wormed. Hopefully someone
else will chime in soon. There are all natural wormers out there that you can use
and still eat your eggs.
Here is the website for those who are interested in listening to Henry Mahan.
He preaches Christ...alone and his finised work on the cross. Every sermon
gives you such peace and comfort and you learn each day to Rest in Christ
and his finished work on the cross...
Your quote that I am a great sinner and He is a great Savior! is such a great
gift. Only those that see themselves as a great sinner will need such a
great Savior.
Their is a great website called audio sermons. I listen to Henry Mahan. There are
alot of great preachers on that site, but...
I let my girls out at 2 each day...the girls that havent laid do go right
back in to their nest and lay. Its pretty incredible. If they are use to
being in their coop and run all night and part of the day, they should go
back into their coop to lay for you.
