    Updated photos of my 8 week old trio. Thoughts on hens vs rooster? I think the gold colored one is a hen but not sure about the black and splash. They are all “olive eggers” apparently.

    These three hatched 6 weeks ago. All apparently olive eggers. Thoughts on if any will actually lay an egg? Black, Gold and White. The black one looks BCM to me.

    She did not hatch the others unfortunately.

    All of the eggs were put under her at the same time. I candeled midway and was unsure about a couple of them but one of the unhatched ones definitely looked viable then. We put the eggs down where she is now closer to the food and water. We will see what today brings! This is my first...

    My hen was sitting on 6 eggs in a nesting box. Yesterday on Day 21 two hatched. Today is day 22 and she has now moved down from the nesting box with the chicks. Does this mean these others eggs won’t hatch? I put them down where she is now just in case? First time hatching chicks!

    Hatching while I'm on vacation

    Excellent! We leave tomorrow morning and so far 2/7 hatched today. We are only gone 2 days so I suspect mama will be sitting for those days anyways waiting for others to hatch and these to dry off
