    I put my BO in a dog cage and she went berserk and cut her comb. I felt so bad. So out she came, I take her of the nest every time I go out and make sure she eats and drinks. This afternoon she's was off the nest so I hope the little stinker is over her broodiness.

    Thanks chynasparks. I live in Texas also, and the ants are terrible. It rained last night and supposed to today so maybe I can put amdro out tomorrow. I'm in Buffalo where are you located. Gwen

    I used basic H yesterday and this morning there are still ants in the pen. I put 1/4 teas. To 16oz water, I'm wondering if I should mix it stronger. I have pine chips in my chicken coup about 2 to 3 inches thick, should is put in more chips?

    Mine are 10 months old, out of 16 I got 3 eggs and there are feathers everywhere. I hate to think I have to wait 2 to 6 months to start getting eggs again. Guess I'll have to buy some eggs. UCK

    I was just coming on here to ask the same question! For the last week, out of 16 hens I'm gettin 5 or 6 eggs. Just went out to check and there are more feathers in the pen than usual. Nine are 11months and 7 are seven months. I looked at 3 of them and did not see mites or lice. I think about 4...

    Laurie, my little silkie laid her first egg today at 26 weeks. We thought she might be a roo, I'm glad we were wrong.

    I have 2 astrolope pullets that are 13 weeks old. One has a yellow comb and feet, the other has a pink comb. Is this normal?
