I had some problems when I first started last month. I ended up buying the fan kit and automatic egg turner. The fan kit has helped keep the temperature constant.

Well after 26 days we had 5 of our 6 guinea hen eggs hatch. I was getting worried, they started external pipping the morning of day 25 and it took them about 36 hours to hatch. I have attached some pictures. My girls love them...
I think one of my problems is I'm using a still air incubator and as you know the temperature is not uniform. I think I'm going to buy the circulated fan kit for the incubator and hopefully this will allow me to maintain a uniform temperature.
I just bought my first incubator and have about 25 eggs. I have three thermometers and they range from 96-102. Do they make one specifically for incubators?
I was given a pair of Silkies over the winter. I thought I had a boy and girl however my hen started crowing recently and now I'm not sure. Anyway can you take a look at these pictures and help me. The first two are of my "hen" and the last one is my rooster. Thank you.
