My hen I'm sure has eggs somewhere I can't find, but at least every morning she was meeting me at the door for breakfast with everyone else. Now it's been a week and I haven't seen her once. I'm extremely worried about her. She is one of my very first Serama hens.
This is little Icarus. He is two days old (Serama chicken)
He was a late hatch from his siblings and his mom, being a first time mom, ended up attacking him trying to kill him.
So now he lives in my drawer by my bed with a heating pad and puppy pad lol
Very interesting. Also I have never heard of Coccidiosis. I have never dealt with it. Only sick chicken I've had was one that ended up with sour crop... so this is interesting.
Just wondering. Which one do you use for feeding your new baby chicks.
Medicated or Non-Medicated and why?
I personally use Medicated because I find my chickens grow much healthier and I rarely have a sick chicken. (Been raising chickens for 4 years now)
I have some poultry medicine spray I have used on him when I first noticed it. He isn't acting odd. He is running around the yard with his hens and a few brothers. Eating and drinking fine. I'll put more medicine on him tonight thou.
Idk if he got into a fight with my other roosters which I removed him from a week or so ago. And he is able to open his eye all the way and it looks normal when he does. But still worried.
So I have been looking to get something for my house to make it smell nice and not just everytime I mop. But I don't want to risk my doves health if plug ins are not pet safe. Any advice is loved, thanks.
I'll talk to my bf since the greenhouse was his idea, I'll be showing him this thread so maybe we can rethink our new coop. I have never had a greenhouse before (my bf has in the past) so this is good info before we finish it.
It's got vents, and it's a very thin plastic. I live in a wet climate mostly, we don't get a lot of sun and when we do, it's lasts for only a few hours. The chickens we have are tropical chickens.
