    Hybrid Pheasants

My purpose was not to offend to Randy clearly state MY thoughts. And this is my last post on this topic by the way as it's going no where. By the way this lovely forum won't let me post any "personal" stuff until I have posted 10 times. No I'm hiding behing a screen name. I live in Utah...

    Hybrid Pheasants

Those Hybrids (golden X Reeve etc) may be sterile but lets look in the True Pheasant family, what about crossing a Mongolian Pheasant with a Versicolor or a Formosan with a Southern Blackneck? The offspring ARE fertile and this is where so many of these species are being lost. I see you had...

    Hybrid Pheasants

IMHO this is very sad:(. This is why so many of the True Pheasant family in the states have lost their true identity by crossing everything under the sun. Again, this my opinion only, but birds should NOT be crossed for any purpose. Yes they may be pretty and cool but at some point we lose...

    New Arrivals

How big is the pen? Is there cover or places the new birds can hide and/or feel secure? This time of the year is the best time to introduce new birds. Just watch them closely for a few days. Steve

Please post pix of your pheasants. :]

    Partridge for Beginner

IMHO stay away from Hungarian too if your a beginner. Very aggresive towards each other and other birds. If you do want to keep them make sure there's plenty of cover for the birds to hide and get away from each other. They are fun and pretty if you have real estate, but a pain at times. Steve

Is it illegal to own a Canadian Goose?

It is not illegal to keep or raise geese. You must however buy/trade/barter them from someone who has a USFW permit and keep that paperwork on hand to prove. No permit required to raise or keep, only if you plan to sell or trade. They are great to have around. Hope this helps Steve
