    Dead duck

Several years ago I had a couple of ducklings drown, so I'm very careful since that was sad.

    Dead duck

By the way, based on past results - and the rest of this present bevy - night time temps in San Diego are warm enough this time of year (especially this year). Likewise, I have nine roos the same age doing well in the same circumstances.

    No eggs yet

I keep trios of 11-week old coturnix in wire cages of about 20"x20". They do not have nesting boxes, but do have trays of soil for dust baths. Each cage is roofed, they are fed 21% protein game feed, have food and water around the clock, but still no eggs. What's wrong with this setup...

    Mites: I've tried EVERYTHING

Not the mites' legs - my eyes aren't that good - but the chickens.

    Mites: I've tried EVERYTHING

I got rid of mine by covering their legs with vegetable oil.
