    After opening both boxes, the contents were in pretty good shape. We're going to go ahead and use it for a transition coop/run for our chicks until they are ready for the regular coop/run. These Chinese coops are way too small but for 2 or 3 chickens max.

    Run size

    We will have about 8 chickens total (if my chicken math is right). Would a 8x12 foot run be adequate room. The coop is currently 8x4.

    They don't have inserts, but they could be easily added. We would add gables on each end for better ventilation.

    There are a few screw holes in the metal that we will seal. We will add some more ventilation. We just stopped by for a minute. It appears to be about 5X8 or so.

    This coop was found near our house in East Texas. The man is a cabinet maker and these coops are solidly built and painted. Each coop has 7 nest boxes and a roost that runs the length of the coop.

    . We are getting this one from Amazon. It is 144" long by Paw Hut and has two nest boxes, and will provide a good base for any modifications it night need.
