I raised 200+ red rangers this summer on pasture. They tolerated heat very well. I found their temperament to be average, not orpington docile, but not flighty or crazy. My RR foraged very well and ate the pasture down to the dirt, then I would move them to fresh ground again. Most finished...
I have raised hundreds of red rangers over the last few years. I have not raised freedom ventures. I have found out that freedom rangers are full size (4.5lb carcass) at 12 weeks while red rangers take 2 weeks longer. Red rangers are really Hardy.
