We have two pea hens and so far 9 eggs. They haven’t began sitting on them yet but Victoria laid her 6th egg last night so hopefully she will sit soon!

    Bonding

Our birds free range so from experience we no longer get too cuddly with them. If your birds free range and you get too friendly they lose that flight instinct they need to survive. If they are not free range the more time you spend with them the friendlier they will be!

I made a swing for my peacocks today. They say that peacocks like shiny things so I made a couple of wind chimes and hung them from the ends of the swing! Now we will just have to see if they use it or not! Fingers crossed!

Thank you! There names are Red, white and blue! They should have a large number of chicks soon, I have seen around 6 or 7 so far and they still have a large number of eggs they are setting on. I was really surprised that they were all so broody, they just hatched out themselves last fall!

No idea how many we will get this year, normally I just have 1 hen that is broody but her daughters from last year are sitting on a hoard of eggs and the 1st one has arrived. Dad and Grandma aren’t too happy right now because I have locked them out of the...
