I bought two chicks at Orscheln in Sedalia, MO last fall. Not sure of parentage. Both are Black and White laced with short combs, no beards. Just curious if any one knows what their parents might have been. They are the two black and white ones in the picture. Thank you- Greenacrefarm

Aren't they fun! I never thought I would have a chicken as friendly as these two. They live up to their reputation as a family breed. I like their color too. Have you ever had a lavendar orpington? Just curious if they have the same temperament.- Greenacrefarm

Thank you all for your warm welcome! We have our very first eggs this week, only 3 but it is a start! Yes we love the Buff orpingtons, so sweet and curious. Next fav is the Red Star.
