I have 2 broody hens right now, and I would love to put some guinea eggs under them.. I'm having a very difficult time finding any here in NC! I am looking for literally any color except pearl.. They hurt my eyes to look at for some reason.. I'm in the Fayetteville/Lumberton area and looking to...
I have a 3 mo old dark brahma pullet who I have named "Shoshanna" (Inglorious Bastards reference) because she walks funny.. She can lay down just fine, but when she walks, she does not bend her knees, so she looks like a German soldier with a limp.. I've been giving my flock rooster booster in...
I have 5 silver laced wyandottes, almost 3 months old. 3 cockerals and 2 pullets. Willing to sell 2 breeding pairs for $40/pair. Make an offer for all! (Only have 2 pictured, but can get more)
Just to be transparent, they are currently being treated for possible Cocci in my flock, and will be...
Yeah, that make more sense.. I had a very long day yesterday, so I'm not braining very well today! LOL
I was mistaken.. I looked at the feed again, and I thought I grabbed the 22%, but I accidentally grabbed the 18%.. I went to TSC since I needed bedding and grabbed a bag of BOSS and...
This is what I've started giving them (didn't realize it was medicated until I got home, but was told it wouldn't hurt them on top of the Corid).. As far as drenching them, it's not really feasable to catch/weigh/drench, since I have 37 of them.. LOL
Ok.. I'll start over and double the dose.. What about putting weight on them? They have a 5 gal feeder with access 24/7 if they want it.. I have NEVER noticed full crops on any of them, although they are all eating throughout the day..
A few days ago, I noticed obvious bloody poop under the roos bars.. I immediately went out and got Corid, and started treating for Cocci, as I had a few chickens (2-3 months olds) that had droopy tails and puffed out and a few that were lower in weight than they should be.. I started treating...
So sorry to hear about the little one.. Sometimes nature knows, but when incubating them, we never know if it's because of the chick not being viable or something that happened during the hatching process.. It's definitely a learning experience.. Happy you have another little one to care for...
Sooooo... I went to give her some more egg yolk/crumble/vitamin mixture last night.. I had her in an igloo dog house with some fencing in front of it.. There was about an 8"-10" gap at the top of the fencing.. I looked inside, and she was gone!! She apparently was done being in there, jumped out...
