oh yeah they told me the hens were 6-7 months old when i got them. good stuff, never heard of henderson's chicken chart. i'll look it up. and yes, i make a wicked good bbq chicken, but my ribs are where it's at. hahaha. thanks- GregInOhio

Slim, I'd be down with getting 6 more leghorns. 2 questions about that: do i need to slaughter all 4 hens i have or can i leave the current leghorn? she's such a good layer, it would be a shame, but wouldnt the new hens gang up on her? also, do some of you recommend letting the other ones try...- GregInOhio

Hello all. In March I bought a nice coop, built a large run, and got 6 hens. I have a 2 year old. I thought it would be fun for her. We eat eggs almost everyday, so I figured "why not?".
