If I were in this situation I would bring my flock into the garage. My coop is durable, but 100mph wind durable doubtfull. When our chicks got too active for the house brooder we had I built a really quick and easy pen in one of my garage stalls as they weren't ready for outside. Did 4 quick...
My pet chicken. 2 THUMBS UP. We ordered Buff Brahmas and New Hampshire Reds in Feb, arrived when they said they would, good shape, out of 25, we have 2 roo's. Good sized eggs, all healthy birds. We will be breeding our own going forward, but if needed we won't hesitate to order from them...
I have two brahma roo's 16 weeks old, we don't want to breed yet so the boys will be moving into a bachelor pad this week. Our flock is mixed, 18 brahma hens, 6 isa brown hens and 5 new Hampshire reds all 16 weeks, got one hen laying so far, these past 4 months have been a riot.
Ok....got a question on my brahmas, I have 19 girls and 2 roo's, 16wks, when should I be making plans to move the boys to a bachelor pad. I want to breed but not right off the bat. My boys, El Capo and Foghorn are well behaved and are both lap birds.

Here is our brooder, we had plexiglass aroumd the bottom edges to keep heat in, they are two weeks old now so we have taken of most of the panels. We have 32 in this setup and so far they are like a bunch of kids in a romper room.
We have 25 buff brahmas coming the 26th, first time chicken raisers. Brooder almost ready, coop and run still in design phase.
Excited to see how the great chicken experiment goes.
