    I appreciate all of the positive comments about our coop/run and loved all of the suggestions. I plan to talk with my husband about adding a few more windows and/or adding some vents to improve ventilation. You all have been very helpful! Thank you!

    I was wondering if we needed perches in front of the nests. I was afraid to add them because I didn't know if the birds would try to roost on them and block the nestboxes.     We have 6 hens that are 16 weeks old. The coop we build is 8' x 4' and the attached run is 11' x 12'. Any suggestions of things to add or change are welcome as we are new chicken parents. This is also our first carpentry project so we know it is far from perfect. :)
