All my hens have passed away now from old age apart from 2 left! Anyone got a few spare! Time flies. I miss them! I hope they are all safe in the after life with all life everlasting.
Hello muddyfeathers, have you seen this! A farmer told me about it last week at the Cattle Market!
RED STOP SOLUTION
RED MITE KILLER CHICKENS POULTRY BIRDS PIGEONS.
The product is called” Red Stop Solution” and has just been made available to the domestic market for use with poultry...
Do you know what will kill them and stop them, old fashioned creosote!
I can remember my grandad doing his hen houses with it in the 1970s and he never had red mite or anything else. It stank like mad!
Unfortunately the EU have banned it in GB in 2003 but I heard Farmers can still buy it...

My Mrs who is a Lecturer in Engineering at our local University...

casportpony, Kathy says that under her hands on experience, Ivermectin does not kill Lice because the Lice do not suck blood but according to backyardchickens guru "dawg53" the lice will still bite the hens and ingest the poison from the hens blood. There are different species so you will have...
Ive not had hands on experience with hen lice. I looked it up and others use Ivermectin to treat this!
You will have to monitor the hens if you've treated them for lice. I found the following info...

Its been 4 to 5 days now and there is no sign of them since I went mad and poisoned them.
But they will be back this time next year and I will be waiting next time with a nuke!
