    this is the one I made from a fridge. Just finished it. In theory inside temp can be thought of as watts. If you put a 75w bulb on the bottom and it's getting too hot you can buy a 45w bulb for the bottom and install a 45w at the top. Also if you add a fan it should distribute the heat better.

    That's how I got started. The quail meat is like crack to me. I prefer coturnix meat but I raise them too. btw if you have a good bit of land you can host shoots and make 500-750 per person. I have one customer that makes bank.

    First 5 breeder pens done. I already ordered 750 chicks which will be here April the 2nd. The first pic is of the fist 4 brooders being started. 9.5'x3' Which is 28 sqft. That will allow me 113 chicks per box. Still have a lot of work to do.

    I had a fox issue once. took everything over 3 nights. Climbed the 8ft net. I set a trap to catch it and it just climbed over it.
