    October Chicks...Longer till laying?

    I don't think you should worry about it. I got my hen somewhere in July of 2013 and she just started laying a few weeks ago. I was concerned at first and worried constantly, but lookie now. My hen is perfectly normal and she laid her first egg in the nesting area<3 Just keep on waiting!

    Hen adopting a chick?

    I have this little broody bantam hen that we are thinking about giving a chick for her to foster.     FIRST EGG!!!!

    So my baby laid her first egg today and I'm super excited because I had lost hope that she could, and I walked out there and there was a little perfect egg in the coop. I would like to keep the egg as a little reminder of her first egg. Is there a way to preserve it so that I may keep it forever?

    My Chickens won't wear their diapers.

    For Christmas I got my chickens some diapers so that they could come inside and it'd be cute and cuddly and so on. I have two chickens (one's a relatively small rooster, and ones a teeny bantam hen.) Neither of them want to wear their diapers. Is there a special way to train them to like them or...
