These two little ones hatched two days ago... My flock contains Golden Laced and Blue Wyandottes as well as Barred Rocks. My rooster is a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. I can't wait to see what these guys are!

Yes, my Barred Rocks came from Privett and I have been thrilled with the service and the chicks I purchased. My second batch of meat birds is on order from them for delivery the last week of this month...

My husband purchased un-medicated Layer Ration with 16% protein and 3.50% calcium. Thank you for the good advice, I will store it for the future! Flock raiser and Oyster Shell on the side, sounds yummy!

My new Jersey Giant "Goose" has a slight crossbeak (see photo) is this likely to worsen over time? You can see it in this photo. Any advice? I thought he would be fine as a second roo for my layers (Barred Rocks), I don't plan on breeding anything from him, but would love to have some Jersey...

The Barred Rock hen is one of 23 that I currently have in my flock... I plan on getting my numbers down so that I can get to know those that I keep as my laying crew. I suppose names will follow because I name everything!
