    The quails have been outside since this post... but today I have had to bring one of my female inside!! She has gunky eyes to the point one of them was closed shut!?! I have cleaner with water and they are open and clear... what is wrong with her???xxx

    I do have a part that is just dirt, I’m in the stage of getting all my grass growing as it’s very patchy so killing it won’t make a difference at the moment haha 🤣 thanks for the idea I’ll pop some bricks all around it for better protection :) xx

    It’s only really for when I can shut them in a night :) thankyou that’s very handy!! Quick question, will they be okay in the rainy days?? At the minute they’re in my house with the heating on but when they heating is off they huddle together and shiver??? Just worried about them being cold...

    Can’t see very well so I’ve circled where the crack is. There was a baby that hatched yesterday but I took it out as it was really spinning all the eggs and I think maybe that’s why it’s started cracking/hatching upside down?x

    I’m not a newbie to hatching quail but am I right in thinking the quail have to crack the side of the air sack?? I have one currently starting to hatch (I see some of the shell poking off) just above the point of the egg?? What shall I do??

    Quail not walking!!

    Well a drastic change happened over night! The baby that literally could not move it’s neck has started walking and it’s like nothing happened! Eating and drinking on its own now. Both babies are like normal now!:) Thanks a lot everyone for your continued help:)
