    How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

    I am not sure how many of my 18 girls are laying but I have been getting 7 to 8 eggs a day. They are 20 weeks as of yesterday.     I have had 5 eggs so far. The last one was day before yesterday and it was much larger. Sure want all 18 girls to get to layin. I think there are 2 laying so far. I told hubby I was going to get my chicken cookbook out and start reading them bedtime stories.....

    My 1st lil brown egg. 16 weeks and 1 day. I am so very very excited. My roo stayed with the "hen" and when she was done they sang the egg song together. I was outside the pen and got to watch and was amazed they knew what to do...Lol.

    Post your FIRST EGG pics!

    1st egg at 16 weeks and 1 day. My roo was right there with my "Hen" and sang with her. I am one happycat chicken mommy.... Not so bad for the 1st egg. No much smaller than store bought grade A large. The shell was hard and it looks like a great shape to me.
