Hi, sorry for the late reply, been out chicken minding. I'm not raising chickens, don't have a rooster. Just keeping hens for eggs. I have an Aracauna, Partridge Rock, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Black Copper Maran and a Bielefelder.
I loved this design so much that I bought the plans and built it for myself. With little experience in Sketchup, I managed to print some views for my handyman. he was very resourceful and took it from there. Here's my coop

I found BYC when searching for Coop designs. It looks like I need to participate in the forums for a bit before I can post an article with my coop build. I want to share that with the community as I got so much from everyone else.
The first eggs collected from my hens on the second day I had them. The brown egg is from the Partridge Rock and the blue one is from an Aracauna (of course).
Hi So Lucky, yes, it was amazing. I got eggs from 2 of the hens the second day they arrived. My Aracauna and Partridge Rock are laying. The Golden Laced Wyandotte hasn't laid yet. A friend checked her out and confirmed she is young. So will not give up on her.
