    Experation Of Fresh Eggs

    I know fresh eggs last a good long while when refrigerated but I'm just wondering approximately how long. Also how long are they good for when left outside in the coop.

    Soft egg laying under roost

    I'm not an expert but When I started raising chickens last year I had a few soft eggs too when they first started laying. I think it has to do with the fact that their bodies are adjusting to the process. I havent seen it since.

    Food

    Can anyone provide any food/snack suggestions that are good to feed your flock (aside from bagged chicken feed). I have been giving them lettuce, crushed crackers and granola. Are any of these bad? Please offer suggestions. THANKS!!!

    Bum Poop

    One of my chickens has hard dried poop on her behind and it is frozen on there. I tried pulling it off but it didn't work. Do I need to worry about it?

    Chickens who HATE snow?

    Soft egg laying under roost

    I am a new chicken owner and have noticed that several times with one of my birds. She is the only one laying right now and sometimes I will notice she lays an egg with no shell. It will be laying in the poop tray. I once saw her eat one. I chalked it up to being a young chicken.
