I hatched some call ducks 2 months ago and I'm confused about what color I've got. My drake is snowy and my hens are white, spot, and appleyard. I thought this girl was the apoleyard's baby, but I was told Appleyard x Snowy made Aleutian. Is this baby an appleyard? If so, who's her mom?
They try to eat everything. Swap them to a puppy pad for a day or two and add a shallow bowl of water with a small amount of their food in the water. Keep a regular food bowl and waterer in as well. Once you're sure they are eating feed well, put large flake shavings in the brooder.

I hatched 10 call ducks around easter and 9 of them are drakes. I'm keeping my one hen and the drake she's chosen to pair up with, but I want to keep a couple other drakes. How many more hens will I need if I keep 3 or 4 drakes total? Pix of my girl Smily with her drake for tax.
I hatched so many drakes around Easter and need to fix my drake to hen ratio. I've got 4 boys in white, khaki bibbed, snowy, and grey. I'm also looking for call hens because I've only got one girly. I'm near Roanoke, Virginia.
Enjoy them! I have some third generation babies from mine and keep back the ones with the biggest hats and extra toes. They've all laid blue and green and have all been very reliable layers. I agree they're worth the price! Always get the chickens who make you happiest. 😁
After looking at yours - I think I might get that kit too but make the whole thing the coop by leaving the nesting box area, and taking out the middle pop door. I need an extra coop for a trio I want to put together this spring.
That looks great! Thank you for posting this, I've always been curious about these brackets. I just ordered the 10×20 run kit. I currently have 3 10×20 metal runs but one is on its last legs. You've inspired me to try replacing it myself!
I got my first egg today from one of my silkie easter eggers! I love these guys! I'll try to get some pictures of them soon, but here's their first egg. 🥰 The girls are all very easy going and sweet and curious. The roo, Mr. Fluffles, is adorable but a little extra dumb haha. Overall 10/10...
We shall see :fl I ordered 3 pullets and a roo. I'll be thrilled if they all look like big silkies and all lay blue, but I'll settle for just looking like big fluffy silkies. It looks like they're a bit cheaper this year. I hope that means they're breeding truer. I have chickens just for fun...
